Purpose

Assist the local Field Engineer to setup a PC and communicate with a VSM6 or VSM7.

Details

The attached document VSM6-VSM7 PC Setup describes:
     o How to configure a laptop PC Static IP in order to connect with the VSM6 and VSM7
     o How to setup PuTTY and WinSCP
     o How to move files to/from the PC and servers.

These instructions support communication connections from a laptop PC to the target node(s) service ports (Net2 and NetMGT) of a VSM6 or VSM7.

It is assumed that the PC is running Windows 7, with PuTTY and WinSCP installed.
