Description

Machine Administration software (MADM) running on the domain has detected a serious problem with a vendor-supplied UPS.

Exactly how serious the UPS problem is can be found by running the UPS related command, which may be offered by UPS vendor..

Automated Response

No immediate action is taken. The platform administrator should use the output of the showlogs command to determine if a service action is necessary.

Nothing is deconfigured.

Indicted Hardware

The UPS and its management software is the suspect.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
