Details

Type

Hardware Fault
   io.pciex.pcibox.se_linkcable

Severity

Major

Description

Fault due to a serious error detected on a link cable connecting a link card and a PCI expansion box.

If the domain does stay up, the domain does not require immediate attention.

The platform administrator should also schedule a service action

Impact

Nothing is deconfigured.

Indicted Hardware

The link cable is specified as faulty. There is a chance that the link cable is not inserted firmly.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
