Description

A fault occurred when the XSCF tried to turn off the power to a PSU in a PCI expansion Box.

Automated Response

No immediate action is taken because of this fault, and the poweroff sequence continues. The platform administrator should schedule a service action.

Impact

The PSU is deconfigured. If enough PSUs are now non-operational, the PCI expansion box will not start.

Indicted Hardware

The PSU is marked for replacement. There is a slight chance the IOB is at fault.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
