Description

A fault occurred due to an undervoltage warning or overvoltage warning.

Affected hardware:

- MBU or PSUBP for M12-1
- CMUL or PSUBP for M12-2
- CMUL, PSUBP or XBU for M12-2S
- XBUX, XSCFUX or XBBPU for XB-Box

Note that, under certain conditions, it is possible to generate this fault when a power-off is attempted and an external USB-powered device is connected to either the front or rear USB port e.g. a USB DVD drive. If this is the case, remove the external USB device, clear the fault and retry the power-off operation. See document CMUL Faulted with Power Issues (Error Messages 01910d00, 01919220, 018f0001) 1904125.1

The recommended DVD drive and AC adapter is Oracle option 7106761 External USB DVD drive with AC adapter.

Automated Response

No action is taken because of this warning. However, the platform administrator should schedule a service action.

Impact

Nothing is deconfigured.

Indicted Hardware

Depending on where the failure is detected, the suspect is as listed below:

- MBU for M12-1: MBU is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in PSUBP.
- PSUBP for M12-1: PSUBP is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in MBU.
- CMUL for M12-2: CMUL is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in PSUBP.
- PSUBP for M12-2: PSUBP is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in CMUL.
- CMUL for M12-2S: CMUL is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in PSUBP or XBU.
- PSUBP for M12-2S: PSUBP is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in CMUL or XBU.
- XBU for M12-2S: XBU is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in CMUL or PSUBP.
- XBUX for XB-Box: XBUX is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in XBBPX, FAN or XSCFIF.
- XSCFUX for XB-Box: XSCFUX is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in XBBPX, XBUX or XSCFIF.
- XBBPU for XB-Box: XBBPU is marked for replacement. There is also small chance that the problem is actually in XBUX, XSCFUX or XSCFIF.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
