Purpose
Provide additional information for message ID: M12-cpu.se-offlinereq
Fujitsu fault codes:
15012300, 15012301, 15012302, 15012303, 15012304
Scope
Details
Type
- Hardware Fault
- cpu.se-offlinereq
Severity
- Major
Description
-
Fault that indicates too many CPU serious faults, such as 15012400, have occurred. Future occurrences of such faults are blocked.
Automated Response
- The CPU chip is deconfigured the next time the domain reboots,
For M12-1 systems, this means the platform becomes unbootable.
Impact
-
The actions to be taken are the same as those for CPU serious faults. But, the fault is serious enough that the domain has asked to offline the CPU chip. Additionally, all future CPU serious fault interrupts are blocked. Typically, by this time the XSCF software should have detected some other problem on the domain (a panic or watchdog timeout) and no further platform administrator action is required.
Indicted Hardware
- For M12-2/2S system with 2 CPU chip in a box, the configuration of PCIe fabric will be changed triggered by CPU chip deconfiguration. This only takes place when ioreconfigure is set to true by setpparmode command.
Suggested Action for System Administrator
- The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
Refer to the following document for the latest procedures for displaying event content in preparation for submitting a service request and applying any post-repair actions that may be required.
