Fan speed is below its normal operating range

Description

Sensors indicate that a fan is not operating correctly.

Automated Response

The system will continue to operate if adequate cooling capacity is maintained. The chassis wide and affected fan module service-required LEDs are illuminated.

Impact

Cooling redundancy is reduced. That may lead to the enclosure getting inadequate cooling. If the problem persists, the components may overheat and the switch may shut down.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

Replace the faulty fan module at the earliest possible convenience.
