And it may sometimes be difficult to understand these versions strings. This document helps to understand the naming convention for the Appliance Firmware.
DetailsThere are multiple ways to get the current appliance firmware version :
To explain - with a simple example - we will take the following version string :
Minor Release : 2013.06.05.5 Micro Release : 2013.06.05.5.2 [or 2013.1.5.2 / AK 8.5.2 / 2013.1 Update 5.2 / 8.5 Micro 2 ]
IDR Naming: eg.: package : ak-nas-2013-06-05-5-2-1-2-2-3-1-nd.pkg.gz This is 8.5.2 IDR# 3.1 2013.06.05.5.2,1-2.1.2.3.1 (here 1-2 identifies it as an IDR. Version IDR# 3.1)
