Purpose

 Provide additional information for message ID: SPT-8002-HP

Details

Type: Alert

   alert.ilom.temp.external.over.major

Severity: Major

Description:

One or more of the temperature sensors within the platform have exceeded a high temperature threshold, possibly due to excessive ambient temperature or obstructed cooling fans.

Automated Response:

The system will perform a graceful shutdown.

Impact:

The system will not power on until all temperature sensor readings have fallen below the high temperature threshold.

Suggested Action for System Administrators:

This event is essentially informational in nature and may not indicate a fault or problem in the product that requires any specific administrative or service action to be taken in response.
