  • If the netconfig switch initialization command gives output "no adapter found" check if PMAC has the oa_service added.

    Here are the steps to add the OA_Service on the PMAC

sudo /usr/TKLC/plat/bin/netConfig --repo addService name=oa_service_en<enclosure#>
Service type? (tftp, ssh, conserver, oa)  oa
Service host?  <OA1_enX_ip_address>
Enter an option name <q to cancel>:  user
Enter the value for user:  root
Enter an option name <q to cancel>:  password
Enter the value for password:  <OA_password>
Verify password: <OA_password>
Enter an option name <q to cancel>:  q
Add service for oa_service successful

The above can also be found in section 4.3 of the 7.0.1 Install doc:
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E57516_01/docs.70/E57789_rev_02.pdf

  • If restoreConfiguration initial run fails and gives error "SCP not enabled":
    Run the following on the switch being replaced:

    switch#  config
    switch(config)# ip ssh filetransfer
    switch(config)# exit
    switch#

    This will allow the restore to complete successfully and the backup to be completed successfully as well.
  • In switch firmware Z.14.51 the AddQOS command via netconfig is not needed.
