Purpose

Provide additional information for message ID: ETHSWITCH-8000-C2

Scope

Details

 SEFOS process failure.

Type

Fault

Severity

Critical

Description

The SEFOS process has crashed repeatedly and has been disabled.

Manually restart the /SYS/sefos target. SEFOS will restart with a default configuration. You should apply and save any custom configuration again. Note that the old configuration file is still available and can be recovered; it is stored as switch.conf.crash. Since the file most likely caused the repeated crashes you should proceed with extreme caution if you attempt to recover it.

Automated Response

Switch operation is shut down.

Impact

Switch management is disabled, and the switch will not forward traffic.
