Tekelec HLR Router (HLRR) Version 4.0

Scope

This document provides the minimum version of TVOE required to resolve the security vulnerability referenced by CVE-2015-3456.

Details

The following table lists the minimum version of TVOE Release required that resolves the vulnerability described in CVE-2015-3456. A standard HLR Router (HLRR) deployment may include a combination of physical application servers, virtualized application servers, Tekelec Virtual Operating Environment (TVOE) host servers, and Platform Management & Configuration (PM&C) servers. HLRR applications servers may include a combination of NOAM, SOAM, MP and Query Servers. This upgrade applies to the following scenario:

Your HLRR includes TVOE on the Management server that hosts PM&C, as well as, includes other standalone TVOE hosts.

Procedure:

For all TVOE hosts, determine if the TVOE host requires an upgrade. This can be done using Steps 1 and 2 from Procedure 37 in the PM&C 5.5 Incremental Upgrade Document.
Check Table 1 to determine which Release to upgrade to.
Upgrade the TVOE host.
- For TVOE 2.5, upgrade can be done using either of the following procedures listed in the TVOE 2.5 Software Upgrade Procedure document.
  - Stand Alone TVOE Host Upgrade
  - PM&C Aided TVOE Host Upgrade

2.5.3-82.39.0 or before	2.5.3-82.40.0
