Purpose

Provide additional information for message ID: FMD-8000-CV

Details

Type: Alert

   alert.oracle.solaris.fmd.fru-monitor.fru-remove

Severity: Minor

Description:

The FRU identified in the message content and fmadm output has either been replaced or removed from the product. This may be the result of repair or system reconfiguration action.

The FRU Status field  in the fmadm output will provide an indication of whether it was replaced or removed:

Status                    : Active/not present  -> The FRU previously present at the indicated Location has been removed

Status                     :  replaced -> The FRU at the indicated Location has been replaced with another

Automated Response:

FMD topology has been updated to reflect this change.

Impact:

If the FRU was removed, the impact will vary depending the FRU and the associated hardware resources located on that FRU.

There should be no impact if the FRU was replaced with the same type of FRU and the associated resources have been returned to operation.

Suggested Action for System Adminitrators:

None.

This event is essentially informational in nature and does not indicate a fault or problem in the product that requires any specific administrative or service action to be taken in response.

Refer to the following document for the latest procedures for displaying event content:
