The first 20 racks or so of Exalogic X5 shipped with uprev firmware on the Aspen RAID card.
This may cause an error when running checkhwnfwprofile on the compute nodes.
This can be igrnored as the card works properly with either firmware version

 1  OPEN     The mismatch error can be ignored as the Aspen RAID Card will function properly with either firmware on board.
The list of serial numbers will be attached to this issue when they are available.
The First few racks [20] have shipped with:  FW Package = 24.3.0-0073
New orders as of March 1, 2015 will ship with:  FW Package = 24.3.0-0063

 March 1, 2015

  X5-2 and X5-2L front disk backplanes lose all disks         2  OPEN   21916073  If you're seeing this issue the drives will be invisible to the RAID HBA. Ongoing review.  Feb 10 2016

 Engineerng is looking into adding the storcli .pkg in the next PSU release.

Workaround;

How to download and install the management SW and tool for 8-Port 12Gbps SAS-3 RAID HBA (Aspen-INT) (Doc ID 2106540.1)

After installing the storcli .pkg, you can check the raid battery status with the following:

/opt/MegaRAID/CLI/storcli /c0/cv show all

Update 7/11/2016 - Storcli package is now included with

                             2.0.6.2.160719 EL PSU

ASR team logged this bug due to many many cases being opened for these two fault codes, with no clear indicator of which component is bad, if any. This bug was logged to dig deeper to find out what is going on.

If you have a case with either of these errors (SPX86A-8004-TG or SPX86A-8002-RK) logged, please attach to the bug and upload the snapshot for analysis of what the true fault is. Engineers need to upload the snapshots so we can properly diagnose these cases going forward. Just clearing the fault and ignoring is not the correct course of action, nor guessing at the cause and replacing random parts.

If there are any questions please contact Mick Tabor.

Engineering is working on FMA diagnostic reporting enhancements under bug #22709532. Until enhancements are released continue to attach to bug #21647754 for assistance.
