Details

Type:  Fault

           fault.chassis.temp.under.minor

Severity:  Minor

Description.

The message ID: SPT-8001-V4  indicates that the fault management function  has determined one of the chassis component's temperature is under normal threshold, and a warning has been asserted. 

Temperature conditions generally result from conditions outside the system. (ie room temp, blocked inlets).

The specific information concerning the fault can be identified following the procedures described in the document referenced under "Suggested Action for System Administrator".

Automated Response

The service-required LED on the chassis will be illuminated.

Server performance may be affected.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

This event is an alert intended to inform the user about a problem that is not typically associated with a fault in the product. Alerts do not normally require Oracle Services for resolution. The administrator should review the ILOM event log for additional information pertaining to this diagnosis, determine the action to resolve the situation.
