PurposeThis document lists the details of supported disks for multipathing with Solaris for the Sun Storage J4000 series of arrays. If you are using the Windows, Red Hat, or SUSE operating systems, there are no restrictions on which hard disk drives you can use in a multipathing configuration.
DetailsIf you are using multipathing with the Solaris operating system, the disks in the J4200/J4400/J4500 arrays must be at the revision shown in the table below, or at a higher revision.
The disks listed in below table support multipathing with the Solaris operating system, but only if the firmware on the drives is at revision 3AZB and you are using Sun Storage Common Array Manager (CAM) version 6.6 or later to manage the array.
The drive "ST32500NSSUN250G" is listed in J4000 Release notes, it's however not supported for multipathing with Solaris.
This drive model is replaced with "ST32502NSSUN250G" listed in first table above.
