Purpose

Can I install mix & match HP LTO6 and IBM LTO 6 drives in the same SL3000 library using the same drive tray.

Scope

How to identify drive tray covers between IBM LTO 5/6 and HP LTO 5/6 drives.

Details

HP LTO 5/6 and IBM LTO 5/6 drive tray back covers are different. See attached photos.

IBM LTO5/6 cover is p/n 418622702 and HP LTO5/6 cover is p/n 418622802.
