This document provides the actions to be done by the Customer before and after the Field Engineer service action.

Dear Customer,
Below you will find the actions you must take prior to and following the Oracle Field Engineer service action. Completing these actions will help to assure a fast and successful resolution.
A link to relevant knowledge is provided to help you complete the required steps. The documentation is intended to provide general guidance on the types of actions required, but may not include all the necessary steps for your specific environment.
Note – A data backup is not a prerequisite, but is a wise precaution.
Prior to Field Engineer service action:
Stop the PDomain which requires maintenance
Following the Field Engineer service action:
Start the PDomain
For more information see the sections labeled ‘Power off a PDomain’ and ‘Restart a PDomain’
in the SPARC M5-32 and SPARC M6-32 Servers Service Manual and/or
‘Controlling the Server, Domains, and Devices’ in the SPARC M5-32 and SPARC M6-32 Servers Administration Guide.
