Dear Customer,

Below you will find the actions you must take prior to and following the Oracle Field Engineer service action.  Completing these actions will help to assure a fast and successful resolution.

A link to relevant knowledge is provided to help you complete the required steps.  The documentation is intended to provide general guidance on the types of actions required, but may not include all the necessary steps for your specific environment.

Note – A data backup is not a prerequisite, but is a wise precaution.

Prior to Field Engineer service action:

Unconfigure the FRU (e.g., HDD) from Solaris.  The ‘cfgadm’ command may be used.

Following the Field Engineer service action:

    Reconfigure the FRU into Solaris.

For more information see the sections labeled ‘Maintaining the Internal Disks’ in the Fujitsu M10 Servers Service Manual located at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E38160_01/index.html
