Dear Customer,

As per our agreement, below you will find the actions you need to take prior to and after the Oracle Field Engineer service actions.
We are providing the link to Knowledge that may help you to complete the required steps. The docs are not tied to your specific environment but are meant to provide general guidance on the type of actions required.

Prior to Field Engineer service actions:

Hot-Pluggable devices:
These devices can be removed and installed while the system is running, but require certain Solaris commands (admin tasks) to complete the operation.
Disks on all platforms (listed in references): When replacing a disk, the operating system should be configured by the customer such that the disk drive is free for replacement, e.g. the disk may be part of Solaris Volume Manager, Veritas Volume Manager, mounted file-system, raw partitions, etc. A data backup is not a prerequisite but is a wise precaution. Refer to the  System Admin Guides and/or System Service Manuals for the appropriate platform.

Note: When replacing a drive that is part of a RAID volume refer to:
 - Tx000/T5x20/T5x40/T63x0: Troubleshooting inability to see a pre-existing RAID volume on T1000/T2000 T5120/T5140/T5220/T5240/T5440 T6320/T6340 (Doc ID 1009723.1)
 - T3-x/T4-x/T5-x: Troubleshooting inability to see a pre-existing RAID volume on T3 & T4 systems (Doc ID 1387771.1)

PCI Cards: hot-plug only on SPARC T3-4/T4-4 and SPARC T5-4/T5-8, for hot-plug operations with PCI cards refer to:
 - 1548740.1  How to Replace a SPARC T3-4 or T4-4 PCI  Express Module
 - 1554099.1  How to Replace a SPARC T5-4 or T5-8 PCI Express Card

Following the Field Engineer service actions:

Reconfigure the drive into the server as previously configured (part of a RAID volume, SVM volume, mounted file system, etc). Refer to:
 - T3-x/T4-x/T5-x: Troubleshooting inability to see a pre-existing RAID volume on T3 & T4 systems (Doc ID 1387771.1)
 - Tx000/T5x20/T5x40/T63x0: Troubleshooting inability to see a pre-existing RAID volume on T1000/T2000 T5120/T5140/T5220/T5240/T5440 T6320/T6340 (Doc ID 1009723.1)

Reconfigure the PCI cards back in the server configuration, refer to the Service Manual for the appropriate platform and documents:
 - 1548740.1  How to Replace a SPARC T3-4 or T4-4 PCI  Express Module
 - 1554099.1  How to Replace a SPARC T5-4 or T5-8 PCI Express Card
