SymptomDetailsResolution/Workaround
SuSE Linux ES 11 not booting due to PCI errors

With the 371-4522-01 Express Module card and SLES11 installed, the blades won't boot.
When this happens console will show following error:

Jul 19 13:17:42 betmspz1db-c01 kernel: +------ PCI-Express Device Error ------+
Jul 19 13:17:42 betmspz1db-c01 kernel: Error Severity : Corrected
Jul 19 13:17:42 betmspz1db-c01 kernel: PCIE Bus Error type : Physical Layer
Jul 19 13:17:42 betmspz1db-c01 kernel: Receiver Error : First
Jul 19 13:17:42 betmspz1db-c01 kernel: Receiver ID : 0028
Jul 19 13:17:42 betmspz1db-c01 kernel: VendorID=8086h, DeviceID=340ch, Bus=00h, Device=05h, Function=00h

These are PCIE corrected errors from the physical layer.

Workaround: Set "pci=noaer" kernel parameter in SuSE Linux ES 11.(Edit grub menu and add pci=noaer to kernel line).

Blade do not Power On after chassis AC powercycle.

During the whole chassis AC powercycle, if blade SP boots faster than CMM, CMM doesn't allocate power to all blades. In that case, blade auto-power-on fails since it doesn't retry.

Issue fixed in ILOM version W1.3.
Resolution: Update ILOM/BIOS firmware to latest version.

CMM shows X6270M2 blade as X6270

 In some cases CMM reads the fru_name instead of the Product_name field which is misrepresenting the blades identity.

product_serial_number = 1118FMN058
system_identifier = sb6b-ilom0
fru_name = ASSY,BLADE,X6270 ------------incorrect

Issue fixed in CMM firmware SW3.3.5 release.
