SB6048: Power Asserted/Deasserted errors in event log

SB6048 with ILOM 3.0.3.32 displays false PSU assert/deassert error messages, example below:

Voltage PS0/S0/V_12V_ERR Predictive Failure Asserted
Voltage PS0/S1/V_12V_ERR Predictive Failure Asserted
Voltage PS0/V_3V3_ERR State Asserted
Voltage PS0/S0/V_12V_ERR Predictive Failure Deasserted
Voltage PS0/S1/V_12V_ERR Predictive Failure Deasserted

Resolution: Update CMM ILOM firmware to SW3.1.2 or later.
CMM Power/OK LED doesn't illuminate after CMM firmware update. After updating ILOM to 3.0.3.32 (SW3.0) or later the CMM Power/OK LED stops illuminating.

Resolution: Update CMM ILOM firmware to SW3.2 or later.

Fan issue when X6275 blades installed in SB6048 chassis SB6048 chassis rear fans running at 100% with all X6275 blades installed even at idle

Resolution:

  • Update X6275 blade ILOM firmware to SW2.1 or later.
  • Update CMM ILOM firmware to SW3.1.3 or later.
Power supply fans show failed in ILOM.

After stop/start /CH all the PSU fans have error even though they are all running fine. Individual fans they are not marked as failed.

Workaround: Reset CMM
Resolution: Update CMM ILOM firmware to SW3.3 or later.

Blades do not power up after chassis AC powercycle.

During the whole chassis AC powercycle, if blade SP boots faster than CMM, CMM may not allocate power to all blades

Workaround: Wait for CMM to complete boot process and then reset blade.
