This document provides the actions to be done by the Customer before and after the Field Engineer service action.

Details

TSC Engineers:

Please copy/paste the following test into a public note of the Service Request.

------------------------------------------------------ CUT HERE ---------------------------------------------------------------

The customer must follow these actions:

Prior to the CSE/FE Service Action, the library needs to be taken offline to the Software Application and Operating System.  The library will have to be powered off.

Once the service action has been completed, the library will need to be brought online to the Operating System and Software Application.

------------------------------------------------------ CUT HERE ---------------------------------------------------------------

Note: For the SL48, the configuration settings are saved on the library controller card and should transfer to the new chassis when you install the library controller card in the new chassis. Recording the configuration settings is a good idea in case the library controller card has a problem or is damaged during the transfer to the new chassis.
