SymptomDetailsResolution/Workaround
Flash Modules Not Found After Power Cycle.

After power cycling a Sun Blade X6275 server module node, the system might not be able to find the Flash Modules (FMODs). If the flash module is the boot device with an installed operating system, the system will fail to boot.

1. Please wait at least 20 second between each AC power cycle, blade insertion/removal. If it is not followed it will damage the FMOD. Same applies to quickly power on and power off the full C48 self.

2. When the blades are put in the chassis for the first time, please wait 2 minutes before pulling it out or shutting is down. Never pull out a blade and insert it right away. This is the time required to charge the supercaps. Same applies when the shelf or blade is powered down for some time. When the blade is inserted it should not be pulled out quickly (before 2 minutes)

Sun Blade X6275 Will Not Boot if the CMM is Off-Line

If the Chassis Management Module (CMM) is offline (due to a problem with the CMM or because the CMM is going through the boot process), the Sun Blade X6275 will not power on.

Workaround Ensure that the CMM is online before booting the Sun Blade X6275.
System Unable to Boot from Fibre Channel ExpressModules

If this happens, you will receive the following BIOS error:

Not enough Space to copy PCI Option ROM

This error will not have any impact on the productivity of the system.

Upgrade BIOS to version 25 or later.

Latest ILOM/BIOS firmware release

Blades don't power up after chassis AC powercycle, CMM doesn't allocate power to all blades  During the whole chassis AC powercycle, if blade SP boots faster than CMM, it's possible it requests power before CMM begins processing power requests.  In that case, blade auto-power-on fails since it doesn't retry.  Workaround: Let blade wait for CMM ready before requesting power in cold boot scenario.

Solution: Update ILOM to 3.0.9.19 or latest.
