Dear Customer,

As per our agreement,
Below you will find the actions you need to take prior to and after the Oracle field engineer service action.

We are providing the link to knowledge that may help you to complete the required steps.
The documents are not tied to your specific environment but are meant to provide general guidance on the type of actions required.

Note – A data backup is not a prerequisite but is a wise precaution.

Prior to field engineer service actions:

- If you monitor the system using Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, then prevent unnecessary alerts by putting the target in a blackout state
- Power down the server gracefully using the ILOM CLI/BUI or the power button

Following the Field Engineer service actions:

- Powering on the server
- Verify full functionality
- Take the target out of the blackout state if needed
