T7-1
-----
1. The motherboard provides eight slots for DIMMs. You can add a pair of memory risers, each with four DIMM slots, making a total of 16 DIMMs in the server.
2. The memory configuration rules for the server are as follows:
    a. In all configurations, DIMMs must be identical (same size, same rank classification).
    b. In base configurations, all DIMM slots on the motherboard must be fully occupied (eight DIMMs).
    c. In upgrade configurations (16 DIMMs):
       1. DIMM slots on the motherboard must be fully occupied.
       2. Both memory risers must be installed, and both fully occupied.

Note - The DIMM sparing feature is available only when the optional memory risers are installed and fully occupied.

T7-2
-----
1. The server includes eight memory risers, each containing four DIMM slots. Four memory risers are associated with each CPU.
2. Either 16 or 32 DIMMs may be installed in the server.
3. The memory configuration rules for the server are as follows:
    a. All eight memory risers must be installed in all configurations.
    b. In half-populated configurations (16 DIMMs), DIMMs must be installed in all CH0 slots. These slots have black ejector levers.
    c. In fully-populated configurations (32 DIMMs), DIMMs must be installed in all slots (CH0 and CH1).

Note - The DIMM sparing feature is available only in fully-populated servers.

   d. All DIMMs associated with each processor must be identical (same size, same rank classification).
   e. Mixed configurations are supported (DIMMs associated with CM0 with one size, and DIMMs associated with CM1 with a different size) as long as all DIMMs in the server have the same rank classification. For example, 32 Gbyte 4Rx4 DIMMs associated with CM0, and 64 Gbyte 4Rx4 DIMMs associated with CM1.

T7-4
-----
1. The server supports 16-Gbyte, 32-Gbyte, and 64-Gbyte DIMMs, with up to 4096 Gbytes in a server fully configured with two processor modules.
2. Each processor module can be either half populated (16 DIMMs) or fully populated (32 DIMMs).
3. Consider these population rules when installing, upgrading, or replacing DIMMs in a processor module:
    a. In half-populated configurations, 16 DIMMs must be installed in all CH0 slots (These slots have black ejector levers).
    b. In fully-populated configurations (32 DIMMs), DIMMs must be installed in all slots (CH0 and CH1).

Note - The DIMM sparing feature is available only in fully-populated servers.

     c. All DIMMs associated with each CMx must be identical (same size, same rank classification).
    d. Mixed configurations are supported (DIMMs associated with CM0 with one size, and DIMMs associated with CM1 with a different size) as long as all DIMMs in the server have the same rank classification. For example, 32 Gbyte 4Rx4 DIMMs associated with PM0/CM0, and 64 Gbyte 4Rx4 DIMMs associated with PM0/CM1.

S7-2
-----
1. The population rules for adding DIMMs to the server are as follows:
    a. The server supports 64-GB DDR4-2400 DIMMs, 32-GB DDR4-2400 DIMMs, and 16-GB DDR4-2400 DIMMs.
    b. There are two supported memory configurations: 4 DIMMs per CPU or 8 DIMMs per CPU.
    c. Do not mix DIMM sizes.
    d. Within a memory channel, DIMMs must be populated in the white sockets first, then in the black sockets.

Note - In single-processor servers, the DIMM sockets associated with the processor 1 (P 1) are nonfunctional and should not be populated with DIMMs. In single-processor servers, a maximum of 8 DIMMs are supported and the DIMMs must be installed in DIMM sockets associated with the P0 processor socket.
