Purpose

Provide additional information on MSG-ID ILOM-8000-56

Details

 Type: Fault

   defect.ilom.fdd.unexpected_telemetry

   fault.ilom.fdd.unexpected_telemetry

Severity: Major

Description:

The fault diagnosis daemon (fdd) that is a component of the ILOM software running on the service processor has received unexpected error telemetry and is therefore unable to provide a diagnosis describing the suspect hardware fault or software/firmware defect. This typically indicates a problem within the ILOM software. However, the error telemetry may indicate the presence of an actual hardware fault.

Automated Response:

The error events describing the unexpected error telemetry have been logged to support the diagnosis and resolution of this problem.

Impact:

Automated diagnosis and fault handling response for these events will not occur. The impact on system operation will vary depending on the actual effects of the reported error events.

Suggested Action for System Administrators:

Submit a Service Request to have this problem diagnosed and resolved by Oracle Support Services.

Refer to the following document for the latest procedures for displaying event content in preparation for submitting a service request and applying any post-repair actions that may be required.
