Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL3000 Modular Library System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Information in this document applies to any platform. SL3000 Module Identification Labels PurposeTo describe the contents of the Module Identification Block labels attached (or to be attached) to SL3000 module frames. ScopeField Engineers Support Engineers Engineers involved in building or replacing SL3000 frames DetailsModule Identification labels are attached to plastic plates inserted into specific 4 cell arrays in the rear wall of each SL3000 frame and describe to the system at initialization the configuration and capacity of the SL3000. There are four labels per frame. These 4 labels constitute a 'Module Identification Block'. During initialization the robot travels down the library reading these blocks. If there is a mismatch between the Module Identification blocks and the actual hardware, the library will fail to initialize. Each MIB contains a symbol, a definition of the module type, a Barcode which translates to the frame type and a Description. Label Description:- Symbol Definition Barcode Description TRIANGLE Back Wall DRV01 Back Wall 8 Drives (Each Barcode also contains a trailing '/'. This is not visible but is read by the Tallbot) For full details and examples see the SL3000 Installation Manual (Internal only). Attachments This solution has no attachment |
