Description

PCI expansion box firmware found invalid data checksums written to SEEPROM on a FRU as firmware probes the FRU during startup of the PCI expansion box.

This fault is detected on a link board, IOB, FANBP, or PSU in a PCI expansion box.

No immediate action is taken.

Impact

The FRU is deconfigured.

Indicted Hardware

The FRU, where this faulty SEEPROM is mounted, is marked for replacement

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
