Description

Fault due to I2C access failure to I2C devices on a link cable when starting a PCI expansion box.
These devices can no longer be accessed or controlled by the PCI expansion box firmware.
Automated Response
- The PCI expansion box will not start. The platform administrator should schedule a service action.
Impact
- Nothing is deconfigured.
Indicted Hardware
- The link cable is specified as faulty.
There is slight chance the IOB is at fault, but these FRUs do not appears on the FRU field.
Suggested Action for System Administrator
- The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
