Description

Fault due to I2C access failure to I2C devices (temperature sensors) on a fan backplane in a PCI expansion box.
These devices can no longer be accessed or controlled by the PCI expansion box firmware.
Automated Response
- All the fans on the box are turned to high speed.
Impact
- Nothing is deconfigured.
Indicted Hardware
- The fan backplane FRU FANBP is marked for replacement.

- The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience.
