Provide additional information for message ID: M10-io.pciex.pcibox.fe_slot
Fujitsu fault code:
11000064
Details
Type
- Hardware Fault
- io.pciex.pcibox.fe_slot
Severity
- Major
Description
-
Fault due to a fatal error detected on a PCI Express slot in a PCI expansion box.
PCI expansion box firmware detects that the PCI Express linkup process at the PCI slot has failed.
Automated Response
- No immediate action is taken. Solaris may panic or FMA running on Solaris will take appropriate action. If the domain does stay up, the domain does not require immediate attention.
The platform administrator should ensure the domain does not use the PCI Express card for an extended period of time. The platform administrator should also schedule a service action.
Impact
- Nothing is deconfigured by XSCF or PCI expansion box firmware. FMA running on Solaris may take appropriate action.
Indicted Hardware
- The PCI Express card is the first suspect. There is small chance that the problem is actually in the IOB.
Suggested Action for System Administrator
- The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
