Description

Fault due to a fatal error detected on a link card in a PCI slot or a link board in a PCI expansion box.

The detected fault is listed in the following categories:

- fe-linkcard-linkup-err: 11000040 The PCIe linkup process failed at a link card;

- fe-linkup-disconnect-err: 11000042 The link disconnect that occurs during the PCI expansion box firmware linkup process failed.

- fe-linkbrd-linkup-err: 11000061 The PCIe linkup process failed at a link board;

- se-linkcard-lane-degraded: 11000062 The link board detects the PCIe lane has been degraded and is operating at reduced speed.

In all cases, a domain cannot access to the PCI expansion box.

Indicted Hardware

First suspect is the link card, second suspect is a link cable between the linkcard and the PCI expansion box, and the third suspect is the link board on the PCI expansion box.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
