Description

A fault is detected while testing the fail-safe-protection circuit on starting a PPAR.
This fault does not apply to M10-1.
This protection circuit manages an event as described in:
M10-env.temp.over-fatal - An overtemperature condition is detected at a temperature sensor (Doc ID 1535552.1)
Automated Response
- For M10-4 systems, the platform will not be powered up.
For M10-4S systems, the building block will not be powered up
Impact
- Nothing is deconfigured, but the platform (M10-4) or building block (M10-4S) will fail to power up.
Indicted Hardware
- The CMU is specified as a suspect.
Suggested Action for System Administrator
- The recommended service action for this event is to schedule replacement of the affected component(s) at the earliest possible convenience. Although the hardware may be functioning, it is not intended nor recommended that the faulted component(s) remain in the system for a prolonged period of time.
