Purpose
Learn what optics are supported for 10G modules in Oracle Fabric Interconnect.
Details
X2 and XFP are different form factors. Oracle Fabric Interconnects use the XFP form factor for 1x10G, and SFP+ for 4x10G modules.
For the 10G module, Oracle only supports the XFP that is supplied with the chassis. There are no plans to support other media. The permutations are far too complex for Oracle to have a supported matrix of other vendor's products. For the 4x10G module, no SFP+ is shipped.
On the downstream side, Oracle Fabric Interconnect is agnostic for cable termination into another switch device.
