Memory DRAM data pin correctable errors

Fault

Hardware Fault

(fault.memory.dq)

Severity

Minor

Description

Excessive correctable errors are coming from a range of addresses within a given DRAM.

Automated Response

The memory controller will be programmed to remap the layout of data in the affected DIMM.

Impact

Hardware will continue to run.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

For the T5, M5, and M6 systems no repair action is recommended, however for all other systems (T7, M7, etc) the faulty DIMM should be replaced.

If the system is connected via the Automated Service Request [ASR] interface, a service request should be automatically generated. However if necessary, refer to the following document for the latest procedures for displaying event content in preparation for submitting a service request and applying any post-repair actions that may be required.
