Purpose
Provide additional information for message ID: SPSUN4V-8000-35
Details
Type: Hardware Fault
fault.cpu.generic-sparc.c2c-failover
Severity: Major
Description
A CRC error has occurred in the interconnect between two CPU chips. While no data has been lost, a lane failover has taken place.
Automated Response
The hardware has automatically reconfigured the link to isolate the failing lane, and successful retransmission of the data has occurred.
Impact
No data has been lost. The system's capacity to correct transmission errors between CPU chips has been reduced.
Suggested Action for System Administrator
The administrator should arrange to have the FRU containing the faulty component replaced.
