Niwot SAS cable differs from system board SAS cable

Details

When adding a Sun Storage 6Gb SAS PCIe RAID HBA Internal Card (Niwot) to a system, please note that its SAS cable pinout differs from the SAS cable that connects to a system board. The Niwot SAS cable must be used when connecting it to the disk backplane. Also, if a Niwot is removed, the SAS cable listed in the Sun System handbook must be used to connect the system board to the disk backplane.
