Purpose

This document provides additional information for message ID: SPX86-8003-73

Scope

 

Details

Lack of AC input power.

Severity

Minor

Description

Message ID: SPX86-8003-73 indicates that the ILOM fault manager has received
an error report indicating a loss of AC input to a power supply has occurred.

The power supply is not at fault.

Automated Response

The chassis-wide power supply fault LED will be illuminated.
Service Processor will display status of the PSU LED indicator as: /SYS/PS_FAULT = On

The chassis-wide service required LED on the server will be illuminated.
Service Processor will display status of the chassis-wide LED indicator as: /SYS/SERVICE = On

Impact

The server continues to operate as long as there is a redundant power supply.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

Please verify that external AC input to the power supply is present.
