Purpose

This document shows the meaning of the System LEDs on a Sun Fire [TM] SF-x8x0/Ex900 Server ( Serengeti/Amazon ) system.

Details


The system has three LEDs that indicate overall system status:

  • Power
  • Fault
  • Location

   

System LED Functions

Flashing
Power LED (green) 
System is powered on and one or more subsystems is functioning.

 

System is off.

Fault LED (amber) 
Fault condition exists in the system (such as running without normal backup or component failed).
No fault condition present.

Location LED (amber)

Flashes on/off to help you locate the component.
