Description

Energy Storage Module has exceeded end-of-life.

Automated Response

The service-required LED on the chassis will be illuminated. The service-required LED on the device will be illuminated.

Impact

Emergency backup power for FMODs is not available.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The administrator should review the ILOM event log for additional information pertaining to this diagnosis. Please refer to the Details section of the Knowledge Article for additional information.

Details

Message ID: SPX86-8002-S3 indicates that the ILOM fault manager has received an
error report that the Energy Storage Module (ESM) has exceeded its expected lifespan.

Backup power may not be available in the event of a power loss.

FMOD's will operate in write-thru mode to  prevent data loss or corruption.

       Replace the ESM Module

 


Flash Accelerator F20 PCI Card

       The chassis-wide service required LED on the server will be illuminated.
     
       Replace the ESM Module on the Flash Accelerator F20 PCI card.
