Purpose

Additional information for ILOM-8000-1G - Faults detected on FRUID

Details

Type:

Fault
   fault.fruid.replay

Severity:

Major

Description

The message ID: ILOM-8000-1G  indicates that the fault management function running on the service processor has determined that a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) in the chassis contains records to indicate it is faulty.

During initilization the SP checks the fault status recorded in each FRU present in the product. The expectation is that it will not find anything faulty.

Automated Response

The service required LED may be illuminated.

Impact

The SP may restart

Suggested Action for System Administrator

Note: If a service request has already submitted, ignore this message ID. The system/SP could have been restarted prior to service action being taken.

This event is an alert intended to inform the user about a problem that is not typically associated with a fault in the product. Alerts do not normally require Oracle Services for resolution.

This event is usually the result of inserting a FRU into the system from  FRU Stock or from another system which contained a fault set in the FRUID., and not a result of a condition from within the platform.

Should the administrator be unable to resolve the issue, use the following link for additional information for steps necessary to contact Oracle Service.
