Purpose

Additional information for ILOM-8000-30 - Top Level Identification indeterminate

Description

The message ID: ILOM-8000-30 indicates that the fault management function running on the service processor has determined the Top Level Identification of the system cannot be determined.

The product uses a quorum system to ensure consistency in the Top Level Identification information. This event is generated when the 'Primary' quorum FRU is replaced and indicates the primary FRU information no longer matches the information contained in the other quorum members.

Automated Response

The system will return UNKNOWN to Product identification requests.

Impact

The Product part number and serial number, as well as other important platform identification information, will be unknown.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

This event serves as a 'reminder' to update this information when the Primary FRU is replaced.  The service person should be already on site and update the information as part of the FRU replacement. 

There should be no action required by the System Administrator, however if necessary service could be contacted by performing the following:
