Purpose

Additional information for ILOM-8000-2V - FRUID contents are corrupt

Details

Type:

Fault
   fault.fruid.corrupt

Severity:

Major

Description

The message ID: ILOM-8000-2V indicates that the fault management function running on the service processor has determined a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) has a corrupt FRUID SEEPROM.

Automated Response

The service-required LED may be illuminated on the chassis and affected FRU.

Impact

The system may not be able to use one or more of the affected FRU(s). This may prevent the system from powering up.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

Depending on the platform, the system may utilize the Automated Service Request capability to log a Service Request.   If that capability is not present then the administrator should arrange to have the faulty FRU replaced.

Refer to the following document for the latest procedures for displaying event content in preparation for submitting a service request and applying any post-repair actions that may be required.
