Description

The message ID: SPT-8000-US indicates that the fault management function running on the service processor has determined that a Energy Storage Module (ESM) was unable to achieve full charge within specified time.

The ESM experiencing the fault can be identified following the procedures described in the document referenced under "Suggested Action for System Administrator".

Automated Response

FMODs will operate in write-thru mode to prevent data loss or corruption.

Impact

Emergency backup power for FMODs is not available and system performance may be affected.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The administrator should arrange to have the faulty ESM replaced.
