Additional information for SPT-8000-ED - File system full.

Details

Type:  Fault

            fault.chassis.device.misconfig

Severity:  Major

Description

The message ID: SPT-8000-ED indicates that the fault management function running on the service processor has determined that the /var/log file system has exceeded the file system capacity limit.

Automated Response

The health daemon will attempt to remove older entries from the /var/log file system in order to make room for new entries.

Impact

Service processor may be unable to continue logging if unusually high events are occurring.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

This event is an alert intended to inform the user about a problem that is not typically associated with a fault in the product. Alerts do not normally require Oracle Services for resolution. The administrator should review the ILOM event log for additional information pertaining to this diagnosis, determine the appropriate action to take to resolve the issue.
