Details

An error was detected within the section of a MBC chip dealing with a specific XSB.

This error is detected during self-test.

This fault occurs while the MBC chip is being tested during:

   Board configuration (changing from Uni-XSB mode to Quad-XSB mode, or vice versa);
   Domain startup;
   Dynamic reconfiguration operations when the XSB is being DR-ed into a domain.

The XSB being tested is deconfigured.

Domains are unaffected by this fault, as no domains are using this XSB chip.

The recommended service action for this event is to schedule the replacement of the affected FRU.

Step 1. Collect the fault message (use one of the following methods):

   Single-line fault message displayed on the XSCF console:

   Mar 20 21:23:21 san-ff2-21-0 fmd: SOURCE: sde, REV: 1.12, CSN: 7860000772
   EVENT-ID: c0a6595c-bf10-4c5b-a7aa-b62ce29f725f
   Refer to http://www.sun.com/msg/ SCF-8003-S4 for detailed information.

   Complete fault message using 'fmdump -m' on the XSCF console:

   MSG-ID:  SCF-8003-S4, TYPE: Fault, VER: 1, SEVERITY: Major

   XSB. This error is detected during self-test.
   Refer to http://www.sun.com/msg/SCF-8003-S4 for more information.
   AUTO-RESPONSE: The XSB is deconfigured.
   IMPACT: No immediate impact. The XSB is deconfigured.
   REC-ACTION: Schedule a repair action to replace the affected Field Replaceable Unit (FRU),
   the identity of which can be determined using fmdump -v -u EVENT_ID.
   Please consult the detail section of the knowledge article for additional information.

Step 2. Collect the output from the 'fmdump -v -u EVENT_ID' command

   SPARC Enterprise platform example:

   xscf> fmdump -v -u c0a6595c-bf10-4c5b-a7aa-b62ce29f725f
