Purpose

This document provides additional information for message ID: SPX86-8000-1D

Severity

Critical

Description

Message ID: SPX86-8000-1D indicates that the ILOM fault manager has received
an error report indicating a device located in a rack-mount server, blade server,
or a device in the chassis that supports a blade server has failed.

This event occurs as a result of a Chassis Management Module (CMM) failure, Blade server component failure,
or a Network Express Module (NEM) failure.

Automated Response

The chassis-wide service required LED on the chassis will be illuminated.
Service Processor (ILOM) will display the status of the chassis-wide LED indicator as: 

/SYS/SERVICE = On

Impact

The chassis may be powered down.

Suggested Action for System Administrator

The administrator should review the ILOM event log for additional information pertaining to this diagnosis.
