SymptomsIf such an operation, such as switch tapes in the middle of a backup piece happens, it may cause the restore operation to fail with: ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
KBHS-01405: Automatic retry wait time limit 512 reached This failure is due to a bug in the data transfer code that doesn't properly resume execution of a stalled piece read.
