In this Document
Applies to:Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 46.3 and laterTekelec DescriptionEAGLE R46.3/EPAP 16.1 onwards, EPAP ports on EAGLE Service Module(SM) cards should be set to AUTO to support 1Gbps EPAP-to-Eagle RTDB download speed. OccurrenceDuring cold reboot of SM cards with EPAP feature enabled that have non-recommended Ethernet port configuration. SymptomsSlow card recovery during RTDB reload of SM cards may be observed if the EPAP switch/EAGLE SM card Ethernet port settings are not configured correctly to achieve 1 Gbps/full duplex download speed. PatchesFollow below steps to configure EAGLE SM Cards and EPAP Switch Ports:
Note: Once the SM (SMxG/SLIC) card is in service, pass command pass:cmd="netstat -i":loc=<:SM card loc> can be used to verify the operational speed and duplex of EPAP ports on SM cards.
Note: In order to support 1Gbps EPAP-TO-EAGLE RTDB download speed, SM cards should be connected to EPAP with CAT5 straight-through cables P/N 830-0724-xx or 830-1174-xx as mentioned in EAGLE Installation Guide.
